We\u2019ve gone from isolation to iso-elation, because we\u2019re excited to announce that HowNow is both ISO 9001 and 27001 certified. The short version is that we\u2019ve been certified for meeting the best practices and internationally recognised standards for information security and quality management systems<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why ISO certification is a big deal\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n

Here\u2019s the jargon-free explanation (or much as that\u2019s possible). <\/span>ISO 9001 <\/b>sets out requirements for quality management systems, which are geared around excellent customer experiences. It\u2019s based on seven key principles, which include customer-focus, engagement of people, making evidence-based decisions and relationship management. These ensure that you receive high-quality products and services.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"HowNow<\/p>\n

In order to be recognised by <\/span>ISO<\/span><\/a>\u00a0for the 9001, a company:<\/span><\/p>\n

a) needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and<\/span><\/p>\n

b) aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n

ISO 27001 <\/b>is essentially the gold standard for information security, which means less risk for sensitive data. It sets out the requirements for an information security management system (ISMS) – a framework that ensures our policies and procedures meet best practices. It also means our security measures keep pace with changing threats, consider business impacts and the people and processes involved.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"HowNow<\/p>\n

ISO’s explanation sets out that the 27001<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSpecifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system within the context of the organization. It also includes requirements for the assessment and treatment of information security risks tailored to the needs of the organization.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
